Belmont Condo Building Evacuated And Family Displaced In Fire

The fire burned in the ceiling and attic of a 5-unit townhouse-style condo building on Lexington Street.

BELMONT, MA — One family was displaced and many residents were evacuated after a fire broke out in a condominium complex in Belmont Thursday night, according to the Belmont Fire Department.

The blaze was reported on Lexington Street at around 8:30 p.m. Thursday, the department said, adding that the fire burned in the ceiling and attic of a 5-unit townhouse-style condo building.

All occupants were evacuated and one family was displaced, but the fire was quickly extinguished and there were no injuries, the department said.
