Belmont World Film's 12th Annual Film Festival Begins Tonight

Eight films, one month and many languages and cultures will be presented during Belmont World Film's 12th annual International Film Festival beginning tonight, March 11 and lasting until April 29.

Movies from Argentina, Germany, Turkey, Italy and France will be shown at Belmont's Studio Cinema over the next month and a half, including two US premieres.

The festival begins tonight at 7:30 p.m. with the New England premiere of "Chinese Takeaway," a 2011 comedy from Argentina about two men thrown together by fate from two very different back-rounds, one Chinese and the other Argentine, both cannot understand each others language. But with a little sly help from destiny, both have to learn to live with each other and their lives will never be the same again.

The evening features a tango performance before and a demonstration after the film.

Festival goers can purchase advance tickets here or they can also be purchased at the door. Attendees can also purchase a Passport, which provides eight admissions for $65 and can be shared with one other person, or individual screening tickets, either in advance or at the box office as well.
