Cash, Jewelry Taken Sunday In Home Invasion In Belmont

Anyone who has seen anything unusual on Stults Road is asked to call police.

BELMONT, MA — Police in Belmont are asking for the public's help identifying two masked men who invaded a home on Stults Road Sunday night.

According to a statement from police, the home invasion victim was home when two masked men knocked on his door around 8 p.m. on March 15. When the man opened the door, the thieves called him by name and forced their way into his house.

Police said the men stole cash and jewelry before fleeing.

Authorities are working to identify the masked men and are asking for the public's help.

Police encourage anyone who has seen anything unusual on Stults Road — either last night or in the recent past — to contact detectives at 617-993-2550.

Anyone in the area who has filmed unusual activity on a doorbell camera is also asked to contact police.

According to the statement, the home invasion is believed to be an isolated incident. Authorities said there is no threat to the public.
