Dump Truck Rollover Crash Reported In Belmont

Police officers and firefighters were sent to Clifton Street at Fletcher Road on Tuesday for an accident.

BELMONT, MA — Belmont police and firefighters were sent to a dump truck rollover on Tuesday.

Around 8:30 a.m., dispatch began receiving calls about a truck crash at the intersection of Clifton Street at Fletcher Road. First responders found the truck on its side, in the middle of the street, Police Chief James MacIsaac and Fire Chief David DeStefano said in a statement.

The driver was not injured. No one else was in the vehicle, they said.

The Mass. State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Section responded to the scene to support the investigation — which is being conducted in collaboration with the Belmont Police Department, a report said.
