FBE Live Auction: Special Dining Experiences

Whether you have a sold-out ticket to the big annual Foundation for Belmont Education "Big Birthday Bash" fundraiser on Saturday, March 16, you can still help the foundation's work supporting Belmont's six public schools by bidding on a slew of outstanding live auction items online. 

For the next week, each day Belmont Patch will highlight one of the items up for bid.

España Paellapalooza III; Dinner for 12

Let Chenery parents Barb & Constantine Chinoporos and Ginny & John d’Arbeloff prepare an authentic meal from the coastline of southern Spain for up to a dozen people in the comfort of your own home. All you have to do is invite your friends and relax; leave the creativity, cooking, and cleanup to them.

The featured dish will be paella a la marinera (seafood with short-grain Spanish rice cooked in a traditional paella pan). Also included will be an assortment of tapas (“small plates”) served while you await the main course, a traditional Spanish dessert, and a selection of Spain’s finest wines generously donated by VINTAGES: Adventures in Wine, who will choose a wine pairing specifically tailored to your meal (value $300). And no party would be complete without flowers for your table by Izabelle’s Flower Design ($150) and creative invitations, menu and place cards by Ginny d'Arbeloff of A Perfect Setting ($125). Try finding this in ANY restaurant outside of Spain!

Delizioso Dinner for 10, Dante-Style

Experience celebrity chef Dante de Magistris’ award winning Italian cuisine at il Casale. A party of ten will enjoy a three-course family style dinner at the chef’s table, where you will have the best view of the kitchen and receive VIP treatment. Dante prepares rustic, authentic Italian cuisine that has critics raving. Dinner includes a bottle of Prosecco served with antipasti dishes and two bottles of wine with dinner.
