First of Two Special Precinct Meetings on Belmont's Budget Tonight
Board of Selectmen to lead discussion and answer questions on the upcoming fiscal year's town and school budgets at the Beech Street Center.

Continuing on the success of these meetings held last year, the first of two special town-wide precinct meetings to discuss the Fiscal Year 2014 budget and Town Meeting articles will be held at 7 p.m. at the Beech Street Center.
Led by the Belmont Board of Selectmen, the meeting will consist of an abbreviated overview on the hows and whys of the town and school budgets, the major items being financed by the Capital Budget and a listing of the town warrant and each of the major articles that will be presented to the annual Town Meeting in April and June.
Tonight's will be the first time the town warrant – which contains the articles Town Meeting representatives will vote – will officially be released to the public having been approved earlier in the day by Selectmen.

After the hour-long presentation, the meeting will be thrown open to questions and statements from Town Meeting members and the public.
Representatives from the town, schools, Planning Board, Capital Budget and Warrant committees, Library Trustees and various other committees will be at the meeting to answer questions.
