Gold Medals for Belmont High's Singers

Chamber Singers, Jazz Choir come back from New Jersey with the "silverware."

This past weekend, on March 23, the Belmont High School Chamber Singers and Jazz Choir were awarded Gold Medals at the 23rd Annual Roxbury Choral Invitational in Roxbury, NJ., an international festival which is one of the premier concert, jazz, and show choir festivals in the United States. 

"I am proud to announce that both performing ensembles received Gold Medals, with the Jazz Choir being the highest ranked group in its category for the day," said Sean Landers, the High School's chorus director. 

Additionally, the Chamber Singers were given a special award, Best A Cappella Performance, for a rendition of “Loch Lomond."

Two individual students, drummer Jake Burchard and soprano Julia Regier, also received special awards.
