Health Warning: Daylight Savings Begins Sunday

Studies show "spring forward" an hour can be hazardous to your health and safety!

Daylight Saving Time begins on Sunday at 2 a.m., so remember to "spring forward" all your clocks ahead one hour before you go to bed on Saturday night.

But please, take it easy over the next few days. Scientists have uncovered that Daylight Saving Time is determinant to your health! 

According to an article in the Miami Herald, in 2008, Swedish researchers found there was a seven percent increase in heart attacks the Monday after spring’s Daylight Savings switch.

In addition, a 2003 study by Stanford University and John Hopkins University reported more fatal traffic accidents the Monday after the time change.

And even if you get to work that Monday, expect your work pace to slack off. Just ask a cow.

For several years, Indiana dairy farmers argued that having to milk the cows an hour earlier caused the bovines to lose sleep and produce less milk, according to the Miami Herald.
