Injured MA Woman Rescued From Basin Cascade Trail In NH

A volunteer rescue team and conservation officers carried the injured woman out, according to the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department.

LINCOLN, NH — A Massachusetts woman injured and unable to walk was rescued from the Basin Cascade Trail in Lincoln on Monday.

About 2:30 p.m., the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department was notified of an injured hiker the trail, the department said in a media release.

The hiker, Ye Guo, 53, of Belmont, was hiking down the Basin Cascade Trail when she slipped and fell, injuring her leg, according to the release.

"Due to her injury, Guo was unable to walk and required a carryout," the release said.

A volunteer search and rescue team and conservation officers were sent to the trailhead for the carryout, according to the release.

"Rescuers hiked up to Guo’s location and packaged her in a litter," the release said. "Guo was then carried down the trail to a waiting LinWood Ambulance, arriving at 4:30 p.m."

Guo was taken to Littleton Regional Healthcare, according to the release.
