[Photo Gallery] Easter Dash: Belmont Egg Hunt

The 13th annual event sponsored by the Belmont Activities Committee is held under sunny skies.

You know its officially Spring in Belmont when hundreds of children and parents gather for the annual Belmont Egg Hunt at the Chenery Middle School, now in its 13th edition.

Sponsored by the Belmont Activities Committee and Cambridge Trust Company, the hunt once again was held under sunny and bright skies on the day before Easter as caregivers and kids found the running about to pick up eggs in a large field to be a great way to burn off some pre-holiday energy and an opportunities for that "Kodak" moment.

While a bit-less frenzied than last year, most of the plastic eggs with small candies and certificates for prizes inside where gathered up within the first two minutes after a parent prematurely released the eight and under hoard over the landscape.

Soon, kids were arriving back to parents, many who were standing in line for the complementary coffee. The festivities continued with children's musician Wayne Potash singing about shy sharks as children and parents danced the morning away.
