Sing, sing, sing

Due to high demand, the Belmont Public Library has added a new series of weekend sing-alongs. On Saturday, March 9 at 10:30 a.m., Ed Morgan, better known as "the Music Man" will be coming to the Belmont Library's Assembly Room. For more than ten years, the Music Man has delighted kids and grown-ups alike with his interactive songs. Funded by the Jane Gray Dustan Trust.

This weekend join Belmont's Powers Music School at Barnes and Noble, 98 MIddlesex Turnpike, Burlington for this year's Performathon. Support the school's Financial Aid Scholarship Fund by shopping in-store during Performathon, or online through Friday, March 15. Mention to the cashier that your purchase should support Powers or use the Bookfair ID number 11004488 to make purchases online.

New Exhibit at the Gallery of Art

The Belmont Gallery of Art presents Richard Hill’s “Joint Show with Myself – Collective Iconographies and Story Paintings,” an exhibit features 40 vibrantly colored acrylic paintings from Hill’s collection of iconic portraits assemblages as well as pieces from his story paintings that combine and re-imagine narrative stories incorporating ancient myths, folk tales and legends. It will be open Sunday, March 10 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The gallery is on the third floor of the Homer Building in the Town Hall complex off Concord Avenue.
