Baby Carter Is Beverly Hospital's First 2026 Newborn
The Schnackenberg family of Beverly welcomed Carter at 7:32 a.m. on New Year's Day.

BEVERLY, MA β The Schnackenberg family of Beverly welcomed the first new addition to the Beverly Hospital nursery of 2026 when Carter Henry Schnackenberg was born at 7:32 a.m. on Thursday morning.
Parents Katie and Mike Schnackenberg and their four other children celebrated the birth of Carter, who weighed 8 pounds, 14 ounces and measured 20 1/2 inches long.
He joins big sister Hadley, 8; and big brothers Riley, 7; Braeden, 3Β½; and Bennett, 20 months. The family has lived in Beverly for the last nine years.

"His birthday will be his 'fun fact' for the rest of his life," said Katie Schnackenberg, who had been told to expect the baby much closer to midnight.
She has delivered all five of her children at Beverly Hospital. She said the entire maternity team at Beverly has been amazing in welcoming Carter as well as his older siblings.

"We have seriously enjoyed our time at Beverly Hospital with every birth," she said.
