Beverly Awarded $40K In MA Cultural Council Grants
The city was awarded $15,000 to support the Beverly Arts Council and $24,600 to support the Beverly Cultural Council.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly was awarded nearly $40,000 in state grants to support arts and cultural programming downtown.
The Massachusetts Cultural Council grants included a $15,000 Cultural District Investment grant for the Beverly Arts District and a $24,600 Local Cultural Council grant to support the Beverly Cultural Council.
The Beverly Arts District was established in 2014 and designated as a Cultural District by the Massachusetts Cultural Council in 2015. The district is in downtown Beverly, near the Montserrat College of Art.

"We are thrilled to receive these grants from the Mass Cultural Council which will benefit the Beverly Arts District and the Beverly Cultural Council," Beverly Director of Grants Catherine Barrett said. "This critical grant funding strengthens, promotes, and supports arts programming, cultural organizations, and the creative economy."
