Beverly Man Arrested On Drug Charges For Second Time In 6 Weeks
Michael Mercier was also arrested in July on similar charges.
BEVERLY — A local man was arrested on drug charges for the second time this summer. Police arrested Michael P. Mercier, 38 of Franklin Place and charged him with trafficking Class A heroin.
Mercier was arrested following an investigation into Mercier's involvement in distributing heroin. The investigation led to the recovery and seizure of approximately 50 grams of heroin during the arrest. Assisting Detective Sergeant Mike Cassola, and Detectives Tom Nolan, and Josh Pickett were Ispwich Detective Ted Gallivan, and members of the Drug Enforcement Agency Task Force 1.
Mercier was previously arrested in July on charges of possession with intent to distribute heroin and conspiracy to violate drug laws.
