BEVERLY, MA — A snow emergency parking ban was declared for Beverly starting Sunday with 6 inches or more of snow expected from a fast-moving storm.

The snow was expected to start late Sunday afternoon and continue into early Monday morning with harshly cold temperatures to follow.

The snow parking ban was set to begin at 8 p.m. on Sunday.

No parking is allowed on any municipal streets with violators subject to ticketing and towing.

Municipal lots are available for those who have no other options with meter fees in affect during normal meter hours.

The MBTA garage located on Rantoul Street is available to residents at a discounted rate, please use the PayByPhone app or online here.

Access to the MBTA garage will begin at 6 p.m. on Sunday.

There will be no trash/recycling collection in observance of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Collection for the remainder of the week will be delayed one day.

The MLK Breakfast will still be held at 9 a.m. on Monday.
