Tuesday, Jan. 21
8:30 p.m. There is about two inches of new snow on the ground and it is still snowing. It is 13 degrees.
8:15 p.m. Harborlight Montessori School announces it will be closed on Wednesday.
8 p.m. The National Weather Service adjusts its forecast, moves Beverly from a predicted 8-10 inches to 6-8 inches.
8 p.m. Landmark School announces it will be closed on Wednesday.
7:45 p.m. Shore Country Day School announces it will be closed on Wednesday.
7:30 p.m. Waring School announces it will be closed on Wednesday.
3:30 p.m. Interim Superintendent Dr. Al Argenziano announces that Beverly Public Schools will be closed on Wednesday.
3:05 p.m. Gov. Deval Patrick announced that the State of the Commonwealth speech originally scheduled for Tuesday night will be postponed. A new date and time has not been announced.
3 p.m. The North Beverly Elementary School PTO meeting originally scheduled for Tuesday evening has been rescheduled for Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 6:30 p.m.
2 p.m. The Beverly Public Library, both the main branch and the Farms branch, will close early at 5 p.m. because of the approaching storm.
2 p.m. Chianti Tuscan Restaurant and Jazz Lounge has cancelled its live music for Tuesday night.
1:30 p.m. An Endicott College basketball doubleheader scheduled for Tuesday night in Boston versus Wentworth has been rescheduled because of the incoming snowstorm. The men's game has been rescheduled for Thursday, Jan. 23 at 7 p.m. and the women's game will be played on Monday, Jan. 27 at 7 p.m.
11:45 a.m. North Shore Community College says there will be no classes after 4 p.m. because of the predicted inclement weather.
11:45 a.m. Revive Dance Xchange announces it is closing at 7 p.m. because of the storm.
11:35 a.m. Montserrat College of Art announces it will close at 6 p.m. on Tuesday and 6:30 p.m. classes are cancelled.
11:10 a.m. The Endicott College Campus Safety Department announces that a Snow Ban is in effect on the campus, where parking is banned in any of the parking spaces marked with blue "No Parking During Snow Emergency" signs.
11 a.m. A snow emergency parking ban in put in place in Beverly, starting at 8 p.m. on Tuesday.
10:45 a.m. Most flights in and out of Logan Airport on Tuesday night are cancelled.
Monday, Jan. 20
4 p.m. A Winter Storm Warning is issued for Beverly by the National Weather Service.
