Farmer's Almanac: 'Super-Cold' Winter Coming for Mass.
Snowfall will be below average, however.

Massachusetts will have a “super-cold” winter, though snowfall will be below average, according to the forecast in the 2015 Old Farmer’s Almanac.
“Winter will be much colder than normal, with near-normal precipitation and below-normal snowfall,” the almanac’s forecast reads.
The coldest periods will be:

- Mid- and late-December
- Early and mid-January
- Mid- to late-February
The snowiest periods will be:
- Mid- to late-November
- Mid- and late-December
- Early to mid-March
As for the summer, the forecast said it will be hotter than normal, with below-normal rainfall.
