How Many People Earn $1 Million in Beverly?

Tax returns from 2011 show that one out of every 497 Beverly residents filed a million-dollar tax return.

Eighty-one Beverly residents filed million-dollar tax returns in 2011, an increase of 14 percent over the previous year.

That means that one out of every 497 Garden City residents filed a million-dollar return, reported the Boston Business Journal.

Data from 2011 is the most recent available from the Internal Revenue Service.

Beverly is above the Massachusetts average by community, which was 51, and also higher than the state median, which was 14.

Boston, Newton, Wellesley, Weston and Cambridge were the top five for millionaires, according to BBJ.
