BEVERLY, MA — The new coronavirus outbreak in Massachusetts and across the country is having vast impacts in Beverly. Patch has compiled this round-up of the latest, local coronavirus news.
Mayor Mike Cahill said there were "close to 90" confirmed coronavirus cases in Beverly as of Monday afternoon. As of Monday, there were 13,837 confirmed cases of the new coronavirus in Massachusetts. So far, there have been 260 coronavirus deaths in Massachusetts.
To slow the spread of the coronavirus, Beverly implemented new rules for pedestrians. The city continues to ask residents to voluntarily do their grocery shopping on certain days depending on which ward they live in to limit crowds at supermarkets.
