New Ice Rink Breaks Ground Tuesday

A new ice rink on the campus of Endicott College officially breaks ground on Tuesday.

The first ice rink in Beverly in at least a generation is coming to Beverly and there is a groundbreaking on Tuesday on the Endicott College campus.

The rink will cost between $7.5 million and $8 million to build and open next year, Endicott College Richard Wylie has said previously.

The rink will be professional size and meet NCAA postseason hockey regulations. The primary use of the rink will be for the college’s men’s and women’s hockey teams, which will move from club status to Division 3 in September 2015. It will also be available to the public, youth programs and Beverly High School teams.
