Officer Lantych Returns To Beverly Police
Beverly Police Officer Jason Lantych was shot outside Starbucks in February.

After recovering from serious gun shot wounds, Officer Jason Lantych returned to the force on Aug. 13, the Salem News reports.
Lantych, 35, has been on the Beverly Police Department for 10 years, formerly serving as the department’s school resource officer.
Lantych was reportedly shot by Hamilton Sgt. Ken Nagy outside Starbucks at 29 Enon St. in North Beverly on Feb. 24. Lantych was shot in the wrist and leg, and was listed at that time in serious condition at Beverly Hospital.

Later that night, Essex County District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett announced that Nagy was wanted and should be considered armed and dangerous. Minutes later, and shot himself to death in his sport utility vehicle.
Blodgett said the shooting was because of between the Lantych and Nagy's wife.

Lantych told the Salem News he feels "blessed" to be working again and thanks the community, his colleagues and family for their support during his recovery.
