Surprise Snowstorm Prompts Some Cancellations, Postponements

Saturday’s surprise snowstorm has prompted some postponements and cancellations because of the poor driving conditions.

The Beverly High School boys and girls basketball doubleheader versus Revere High School have been postponed, according to a tweet from Athletic Director James Coffey. A new date has not yet been announced.

The boys hockey game will still be played versus Gloucester at 7 p.m. at Salem State University, according to Coffey.

The Sterling Center YMCA’s Family Movie Night has been cancelled, according to a Facebook post by the Y. The Y said it cancelled because of the "unexpected weather and road conditions."
