'Wicked Tuna' Adds Beverly Native To Cast For Ninth Season
Beverly native Bob Cook will be on the boat Fat Tuna when the popular show's ninth season premiers.

BEVERLY, MA — When the ninth season of "Wicked Tuna" premiers on National Geographic channel Sunday night, Beverly native and commercial fisherman Bob Cook will be on board.
The show follows a group of rod-and-reel tuna fishermen working out of Gloucester. Cook joins Beverly resident Dave Marciano of the Falcon, who has already appeared on several seasons of the show. According to National Geographic, the ninth season depicts the fishing boat captains working against new government quotas on the number of fish they can catch.
Sunday's season premiere is a special 90-minute episode and airs at 9 p.m. Cook told the Beverly Citizen, which first reported this story, he first interviewed for the show eight years ago. "I can’t wait for [my family and friends] to watch me make a fool of myself," he said.
