15 MA Hospitals Ranked Among Best In Nation: Newsweek
Newsweek ranked the hospitals on innovation, patient care, research and consistency. See how Massachusetts hospitals did.

BOSTON, MA — Some of the nation's top hospitals are located in Massachusetts, according to a new ranking of the best hospitals in the U.S. by Newsweek.
The ranking comes after Newsweek and the data firm Statista evaluated 2,300 hospitals in 80 different countries. On a global scale, Mass General and Brigham and Women's Hospital were ranked among the top 20.
The hospitals on the list “consistently attract the best people and provide the best outcomes for patients as well as the most important new therapies and research,” Newsweek said. A global board of medical experts compiled the list based on four data sources: an online survey from medical experts, results from patient surveys, hospital quality metrics, and a PROM (patient-reported outcome measures) implementation survey.
