Boston Haunt Named North America's Best Landmark Restaurant
The World Culinary Awards, held alongside The World Travel Awards, celebrates elite dining destinations worldwide.

BOSTON, MA — Boston's Union Oyster House, the "nation’s oldest continuously operating restaurant," has been named "North America's Best Landmark Restaurant" for 2024, the restaurant announced Monday.
The World Culinary Awards, held alongside The World Travel Awards, celebrates elite dining destinations worldwide.
"I am deeply honored to receive this award on behalf of the Union Oyster House staff and our faithful patrons," Union Oyster House's owner Joe Milano said. "We are pleased to have received this award both in 2020 and in 2024 and are grateful to be considered a legend."

The Union Oyster House, located on the Freedom Trail near Faneuil Hall, is housed in a building dating back to pre-Revolutionary days and started serving food in 1826, according to its website.
"Whether you’re visiting for the famed lobster rolls, oysters, chowder, fried clams, or its storied Indian pudding, Union Oyster House is nothing short of legendary," the restaurant said.
