BOSTON, MA — Monday marked the 126th running of the Boston Marathon, with Evans Chebet of Kenya reaching the finish line first to take home the top honor in the men's division and Olympic champion Peres Jepchirchir being crowned the winner in the women's division.

Jepchirchir, at age 28, had an additional reason to celebrate, taking the top spot on the 50th anniversary of the first time women were officially allowed to run in the Boston Marathon.

In addition, Daniel Romanchuk of the United States broke the tape to win the men's wheelchair division, while Manuela Schar of Switzerland won the women's division.
