Coronavirus: Mass General Doctor Predicts State Will Soon Look Like New York
Dr. Myron Rolle, a Mass General neurosurgeon, says the state is likely to experience a surge in cases similar to what New York already seen.
BOSTON — A surgeon on the front lines of the coronavirus battle at Massachusetts General Hospital said the immediate outlook is grim.
Myron Rolle, a neurosurgery resident at MGH, said the hospital sees 50 to 100 patients suspected of having the virus, not just from Massachusetts but also from New Hampshire, Maine and other nearby states.
“I think Massachusetts right now is a little bit behind New York,"Rolle said, "but in a week or two, from what we’re hearing, it’s probably going to reach New York or even supersede New York honestly.”
