Dorchester Man Charged In Weekend Roxbury Slaying

The victim was found Saturday afternoon in the Jackson Square area, police said.

BOSTON, MA — Boston police have arrested and charged a Dorchester man following a fatal shooting over the weekend in Roxbury.

The shooting happened Saturday near 3:30 p.m. along Weaver Way in the Jackson Square area. The lone male victim was found dead at the scene. Police did not immediately identify the victim.

The 36-year-old suspect was arrested along Rozella Street in Dorchester following the shooting. Police did not immediately describe how they tracked down the suspect. The suspect, Austin Dillon, was arrested on a murder charge, police said.
