How Mass. Feels About Donald Trump's Inauguration: Poll

A new WBUR poll shows pessimism about the president-elect in the Bay State.

BOSTON, MA — A statewide poll released on the eve of Donald Trump's inauguration shows widespread pessimism in the Bay State regarding the president-elect.

The majority of participants in a new WBUR poll say they feel negatively about President Trump on foreign relations, the environment, journalism and race relations in the country. A slim plurality, 40 percent, believe he'll be good for the economy.

It's worse now than on Nov. 8, according to WBUR, which reports that 59 percent of Massachusetts voters polled "are less confident in Trump today than on the day he became the president-elect."
