Dorchester Fire: 2 Firefighters Injured Battling 5-Alarm Blaze
The fire broke out on Clover Street late Friday afternoon.

BOSTON, MA — Two firefighters were injured battling a five-alarm blaze in Dorchester late Friday afternoon, fire officials said.
The heavy fire was knocked down and firefighters worked to chase hot spots. The fire broke out in a three-story, six-unit duplex on Clover Street and firefighters responded around 3:50 p.m.
A heavy fire in the rear of the structure extended inside across the attic, according to fire officials.

The two firefighters injured were taken to the hospital for exhaustion and for a cut to the arm. No civilian injuries have been reported.
The Red Cross has been called to assist the 16 people who live in the building.

Photos and videos from the scene showed heavy smoke coming from the roof of the structure.

Earlier in the day, a man was pulled from a three-alarm fire in Hyde Park. The man is reportedly in critical condition.
