BOSTON, MA — A minor collision at Logan Airport Monday morning happened on the heels of a near miss last week under investigation by federal transportation safety officials.

Two United Airlines planes clipped each other's rear horizontal wings Monday morning, according to reports. The flights were headed to New Jersey and Colorado and were both canceled following the incident.

The National Safety Transportation Board is investigating a near-miss that happened last Monday, according to a tweet: "NTSB is investigating the Feb. 27 runway incursion at Boston’s Logan International Airport that occurred when a Learjet 60 began a takeoff roll as a JetBlue Embraer 190 was preparing to land on an intersecting runway. No damage or injuries were reported."

The Federal Aviation Agency is also investigating. The two planes came within 565 feet of colliding, CNN reported.
