BOSTON — Early this morning a car hit a pedestrian on Route 1A southbound near Curtis Street. That pedestrian was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to police.

Commuters were asked to watch for residual delays this morning and plan extra time for anyone driving to the airport from that direction.

In the first two months this year, there were 114 crashes that involved pedestrians, according to the city's Vision Zero data, which was last updated in February according to the website. Of those tallied, three died.
