Brockton Murder: Avon Man Killed, Another Wounded

BROCKTON, MA — A shooting in Brockton Saturday night left one person dead and another injured, according to the Plymouth County District Attorney's office.

At about 10:15 p.m., Brockton Police responded to a Shotspotter notification for shots fired on Pleasant Street and a 911 call reporting a man who was shot. At the scene, police found two men suffering from gunshots wounds.

Bethgy Cator, 26, of Avon, was transfered to Good Samaritan Hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to the DA's office. A second man whose identity has not been released was also transfered to Good Samaritan Hospital before he was taken to Boston Medical Center.

The shooting is under police investigation.
