BROCKTON, MA — After removing an illegal gun from a Brockton residence over the weekend, police are searching for the man who they say obtained it.
An arrest warrant was received for Timothy Moreland, 35, of Brockton after police say they found a .40 caliber handgun with the serial number scratched off along with a magazine containing ten rounds after responding to a domestic violence incident on Wyman Street Saturday afternoon.
Police say they evacuated the building as a precaution while they obtained their search warrant. Along with the gun and magazine, police say they also confiscated ammunition for a .357 firearm, a 9-millimeter pistol, and a.38 caliber weapon.
