Crews From Several Towns Help Battle Brockton 3-Alarm Fire
Police are asking people to avoid the area of Taber Ave in Brockton.

BROCKTON, MA — A fire broke out at a multi-family home in Brockton on Wednesday.
Crews responded to the report of a fire at the home on Taber Avenue just before 12 p.m.
Dep. Chief John Galligan said the home is a total loss and that eight people and one child are now displaced, but no injuries were reported.

Photos shared on Twitter show bright flames and heavy smoke coming from behind the home.
"We did find heavy fire on the exterior of the building," Dep. Chief Galligan said. "We're still fresh in our investigation, trying to make sure everybody has a place to go from here."

Crews from Stoughton and Whitman helped the Brockton Fire Department put out the fire by 1:15 p.m.
