Bridgewater inmate convicted in beating death of Worcester man (enterprisenews.com) — A Worcester man who was attacked at the Massachusetts Treatment Center in Bridgewater later died at Good Samaritan Hospital in Brockton, and the fellow inmate accused in the beating has now been convicted. Jurors found 47-year-old Michael Robinson guilty of involuntary manslaughter and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon after reviewing video of the 2021 bathroom assault.
   

4. Boy, 16, arrested for assault and robbery charges for September shooting in Norwood (bostonglobe.com) — Brockton police helped Norwood officers arrest a 16-year-old boy in connection with a September shooting that investigators say stemmed from a planned armed robbery disguised as a marijuana deal. Norwood’s police chief credited cooperation from Brockton and Plymouth County partners and said more charges are expected as the investigation continues.
