Hanson Airport Sees Second Crash Since Friday
The site of Friday's fatal crash has second incident Monday, when plane flips upside-down.
HANSON, MA — A pilot suffered minor injuries when his skydiving plane flipped over at the same airport that saw a fatal crash just days ago. The Hanson Fire Department said the plane, a Cessna 182 Skylane, went off the runway at Cranland Airport just past 1 p.m.
The initial investigation indicates that the pilot overshot the runway while landing. The plane went off the end of the runway and hit a dirt road and flipped onto its roof.
The pilot and lone occupant of the plane, a 20-year-old man, was taken to South Shore Hospital with minor injuries.
