Man Hit By Brockton Police Cruiser Dies
The police car was responding to a call when it hit the man on Main Street around 8:30 p.m. Friday night.
BROCKTON, MA — The Plymouth County District Attorney's office said Saturday that a man who was hit by a Brockton police cruiser Friday night died. The police car was responding to a call around 8:30 p.m. Friday night when it hit Antonio Tavares, 61, of Brockton at 581 Main Street. The crash is being investigated by State Police detectives from the Plymouth County District Attorney’s Office and collision reconstruction teams.
