No More Prom? Bridgewater-Raynham HS Says They'll Sail Instead
Nex year's seniors will instead have a semi-formal event on a Boston Harbor cruise ship.

BRIDGEWATER, MA — The chance to dress up and attend the senior prom will be a thing of the past at Bridgewater-Raynham High School after this school year.
Administrators at the regional school have decided to replace the prom with a semi-formal on a Boston Harbor cruise ship during senior week. Principal Angela Watson told the Enterprise that the decision to make the change after considering the cost of the event and the number of students who left prom as early as an hour into the function to attend after-hour events.
The event will see students board buses at the high school before heading to Boston. Afterwards, the students will return to school for the senior lock-in until 5 a.m the next day.

Following the change, some members of the community liked the idea of an event where the school has more control over transportation and are excited over a new event on the water while others are disappointed at the end of a tradition.
Other senior week events include a BBQ/get together following the senior stroll.
