Asst. Majority Leader Mike Moran Endorses Mara Dolan For Gov’s Council

BROOKLINE, MA — Assistant Majority Leader Mike Moran has endorsed public defender Mara Dolan for Governor’s Council, District 3.

Moran represents the 18th Suffolk District in the House of Representatives, which includes Allston, Brighton, and Brookline.

The Governor's Council is made up of eight elected Councilors who vet and vote on judicial nominations, commutations and pardons, and members of the Parole Board. Dolan seeks the Democratic nomination for District 3, which includes parts of Boston, all of Arlington, Brookline, Newton, Waltham, and her hometown of Concord among its 32 cities and towns.

“Mara Dolan has proven herself to be a true fighter for justice,” Moran said in a statement. “That’s exactly what we need on the Governor’s Council. She will work harder than anyone for the people of the Commonwealth, and I’m proud to endorse her.”

“Representative Moran knows the people of Allston, Brighton, and Brookline want more from the Governor’s Council,” Dolan said in a statement. “His endorsement means a great deal to me, and I know it will mean a lot to the people of his district. I am very proud to have his support.”
