Everything To Know In Brookline's 2025 Election
Brookline's Town Election is on Tuesday, May 6.

BROOKLINE, MA — Residents will head to the polls on Tuesday, May 6 to vote in a town election headlined by contested Select Board and School Committee races.
Polls will be open between 7 a.m. and 8 p.m., with 14 polling locations throughout the town, each with corresponding precincts assigned to them. The deadline to register to vote was Saturday, April 26. Early voting for registered voters is ongoing at Brookline Town Hall, with upcoming dates of Thursday, May 1 between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and Friday, May 2 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
In the Select Board race, three candidates are vying for one seat, after incumbent Michael Sandman chose not to run for reelection. Town Meeting members Liz Linder, Michael Rubenstein, and Carlos Ridruejo are all seeking their first term on the Board.
Ridruejo is an architect who first moved to Brookline twenty years ago. Rubenstein is a former software company founder who is a strong advocate for MBTA zoning and housing development. Linder is a photographer who has multiple studios, including one in Brookline Village.
School Committee has six candidates competing for the three open seats of the nine-person group. In addition to incumbents Valerie Frias and Helen Charlupski, residents Akiva Leibowitz, Logan Potere, and Danna Perry have “thrown their hats into the ring.”

Other races on the ballot include Trustees of the Public Library, which has five people running for four positions, and Constable which has all five incumbents running unopposed to renew their tenures.
