Brookline Asks For Resident Help With Climate Resilience

The town has put out a survey about its climate resilience plan leading up to a second public forum.

BROOKLINE, MA — The Department of Public Works is seeking feedback from residents as it continues to develop its Climate Action and Resiliency Plan.

An online survey is available now for community members to complete between now and Friday, June 6. In addition, the town is encouraging residents to attend a public forum at the Florida Ruffin Ridley School on 11 Stedman St. at 6:30 p.m.

Director of Sustainability and Natural Resources Alexandra Vecchio said that climate change is one of the town’s biggest challenges currently.

“The success of CARP depends on public input and collaboration,” The Department of Public Works said in a statement.

The CARP has the goals of reducing greenhouse gas emissions and discover ways to increase climate resilience.
