BROOKLINE, MA — The fire department recently acquired two new fire engines for $1.5 million, according to a report from Brookline News.

The new engines were manufactured by Pierce, and a representative from the company stopped by the department recently to train firefighters on some of the new trucks’ features such as the water pressure controller.

According to Fire Chief John Sullivan, the two new engines will replace current engines number 1 and 4, with 4 being traded in to Pierce for $130,000 and 1 continuing to serve as an emergency reserve engine.
