Parasite Presence: Coolidge Corner Condo Complex Dealing With Infestation
The Coolidge Corner Condo Complex is reportedly infested due to one unit.
BROOKLINE, MA — A Coolidge Corner condominium complex is currently dealing with a severe bed bug infestation, according to a report from NBC 10 Boston.
The parasite presence is reportedly coming from one unit, which has approximately 100,000 of the insects living inside of it. According to the Brookline Health Department, the unit was operated by an elderly woman with mental health and hoarding challenges. It was condemned last month after being deemed uninhabitable.
Bed bugs were found on paper, doors, walls, ceilings, hallways and floors. With the deadline for the resident to clean up her residence, property ownership will soon be entering the unit and cleaning it out. However, the infestation has reportedly already spread to seven other units.
