BROOKLINE, MA — Unofficial results are in for Tuesday's Town Election, and it appears as though some of Brookline's most prevalent committees will have new representation.

The Select Board and School Committee races headlined this year's election, with relatively crowded and contested races for both.

According to the unofficial results, Michael Rubenstein will be the newest member of the Select Board, receiving 4,280 votes. Rubenstein, a former software company founder who is a strong advocate for MBTA zoning and housing development, defeated Carlos Ridruejo and Liz Linder, who received 1,812 and 3,101 votes, respectively. Rubenstein is now slated to take the seat of former board member Michael Sandman, who chose not to run for reelection.
