Brookline Funding Early Education Initiative
The town has allocated a substantial amount of funds for a project that aims to help early education teachers and students.
BROOKLINE, MA — The town has issued a $450,000 grant in American Rescue Plan Act funds to the Martin Trust Partnership In Education for its early education improvement project.
The Martin Trust’s four-year plan is headlined by the creation of the Brookline Early Education Consortium, which is described by the trust as a network for early educators to connect and collaborate. The Consortium is slated to offer free professional development sessions approved by the state’s Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.
“Teachers are the foundation of a high-quality, sustainable early education system in America,” Martin Trust Founder Laura Trust said. “This transformative investment from the Town of Brookline will have a lasting impact by supporting teacher practice and equitable access to high quality early education for families in need.”
