Brookline Greek Bar Recognized Nationally By OpenTable

BROOKLINE, MA — Bar Vlaha, a Greek establishment on 1653 Beacon St., was featured in OpenTable U.S.’s Top 100 Restaurants of 2024.

The list is formulated through reviews and insights documented by users of the platform. Bar Vlaha has a vast selection of Greek wines. The restaurant aims to highlight the history of the Vlach nomads, who date back as early as the 11th century.

“Bar Vlaha celebrates the rustic, nomadic traditions of the Vlach people, who played a significant role in shaping Greek culinary history,” Owner Demetri Tsolakis said. “From our handmade sourdough bread to the communal dishes inspired by the Vlach way of life, we strive to connect our guests with the roots of Greek hospitality.”

Tsolakis described the recognition as an incredible honor, and gave credit to his staff for their passion for the Vlach tradition and making the restaurant successful.
