Brookline Health Department Still Offering Flu Vaccines

The department advised residents on how to limit the spread of the sickness.

BROOKLINE, MA — The town’s Department of Public Health and Human Services is encouraging residents to get vaccinated for influenza as it is offering the service with multiple sessions in the coming days.

Community members can make appointments online to receive the vaccine at the department’s headquarters on 11 Pierce St. The service is available on Thursday, Feb. 20 between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday, Feb. 24 between 1 p.m. and 5 p.m., and Tuesday, Feb. 25 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

The department also has a limited supply of high-dose vaccines for residents aged 65 and older.

To prevent the spread of the virus, the department recommends people wash their hands often, cover all coughs and sneezes, clean surfaces, and wear a mask if feeling sick.
