Proceeds will support the Heroes for Hope campaign, which helps first responders grant life-changing wishes for critically ill children.
CHESTNUT HILL — The Brookline Police Department, Newton Police Department and Make-A-Wish Massachusetts and Rhode Island are teaming up for a Heroes for Hope fundraiser this weekend.
The event is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday at The Street Chestnut Hill, 33 Boylston Street. The family-friendly gathering will feature games — including the bean bag toss police challenge — prizes, and appearances by community resource dogs.
Attendees also will have an opportunity to donate to the Heroes for Hope campaign, which gives first responders the opportunity to grant life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses.
