Brookline Police Officer Retires After 30 Years

O'Kane was first sworn in as an officer in 1994.

BROOKLINE, MA — The police department celebrated the retirement of an officer after more than three decades of service.

Officer Justin O’Kane joined the department in 1994 as a patrol officer. He spent the next 30 years working through the ranks as a traffic officer, detective, and original member of the Special Response Tactical Team.

“Justin (O’Kane) is a dependable colleague who always had your back. His calm demeanor, knowledge of the job and positive attitude made him a pleasure to work with,” Chief Jennifer Paster said in a statement.
